Why We Did It
| Why this book
The author of this book is a San Francisco Bay Area parent who helped his daughter pursue her college search. After reading the literature, surfing the Internet, talking with college reps, and visiting the schools themselves, he decided that what the world really needed was a national college guidebook with a California point of view. He envisioned a customized college guidebook with a "travel guide" component that would simplify the task of visiting colleges far from home. So he gathered all the college and travel information that West Coast high school students and their parents might find most compelling. Then he put on his writer's cap, penned his own impressions and experiences, and compiled all the material into one easy-to-read volume. This unique guidebook is the result of that effort. Author and publisher wish every Californian a grand college adventure.
